This is one that was inspired by the music band called Jethro Tull. I wrote this when I was a teenager. I was listening to the album Passion Play a lot, and there is an interlude called “The Hare That Lost Its Spectacles”, which starts just the way this one does, although mine has a minor adjustment.
THIS IS THE STORY OF THE FROG THAT LOST ITS COLOR!!!
“RRRibbitt,” said Frog. “I’ve lost my COLOR.”
“It’s just fine having no color,” shouted White Rabbit, “You can blend in with the snow.”
But alas, there was no snow to blend into.
After they had tea with no one in particular, Duck meowed and said, “I particularly liked the goose meat,” and everyone looked at him and wondered what in the world he was talking about. There was a wild boar and a flying pig and some latte sandwiches. The frog never found his color, but I know where it was. He left it under his nightstand. But it doesn’t matter, know why? Cuz I can’t tell him because I don’t know frog talk. Goodbye.
